Message Vault

Use cases

Small business owners

Customer texts, quotes, and approvals kept in one searchable place, without a subscription.

The problem

Customers text. Quotes, deposits, change requests, and complaints all happen in iMessage on a personal Mac. When a customer disputes a charge or a promise, the thread has often been trimmed, and searching Messages for something from two years ago does not work well.

Why Message Vault helps

How to do it

  1. Install on the Mac you use for the business and grant Full Disk Access.
  2. Add the Messages database and any iPhone backups, then scan and enable the schedule.
  3. When a dispute comes up, search the vault and seal the manifest before you share anything.
What it does not do

Message Vault reads the Messages database on a Mac and the iPhone backups made on that Mac with Finder or iTunes. It does not pull messages from a phone over the air. The manifest proves the archive has not changed since it was sealed. It does not prove the archive was complete or truthful at that moment, and its timestamp is the Mac’s own clock, not a trusted time source.
